First gig out for a full show post-baby, and what a night it was.
Sloppy Goblins opened the night off and I'm a bit behind the times as they weren't on my radar until now. Well they bloody well should have been, fast, wild, funny math rock. The drums pounded the lugs and the guitars were a sonic assault. Also the goblin look was bang on point.

The Thaw were next up with a more laid back set to let the senses realign after the goblins. They had a great flow between mellow and soulful tunes and faster, more fiery songs, all tied together with strong female led vocals. Check em' out of you like a bit of indie, a bit of punk.

Cow Catcher played every song in their repetoire I think and as always, it was a riotous tour of punky belters. I hung out at some of their recording sessions back in 2021 and I just can't help but rock/sing/oi along with the tunes whenever I see them live, as it's been a while I probably missed a heap of better photos but fuck it, live music first, photos second.
A big part of my love of music photography is I end up hanging out with folk that make music I feel is crafted just for me because I gravitate to bands making music I love.
