Fit to Work were back in Aberdeen for the first time in 6 odd years. They are some of my best pals on the planet, the music is heavy as a really heavy thing and we got a great night of bands on for their return.
Sloppy Goblins got the night off to a furior start. They were sadly unmasked due to some unforeseen displacement, but what they lacked in anonymity they made up for with their controlled/unhinged audio barrage. Noisy goblin madness.

Vibrator are one of the coolest local bands to hit the scene lately. They lull you into a groovy mood with their smooth surfer rock tones and whack you right in the face with a sound that evokes a cocktail of Dead Kennedy's, Pixies and raw locally hewn granite punk. Musically spot on, entertainment factor through the roof. Check 'em oot if they are in your orbit.

Fit to Work are a hardcore punk tour de force, throwing in some thrash and grindcore into the mix, letting Iain go wild on the drums. Josie's lyrics swing from the horrendous side effects of anti-depressants, to anarchist necromancy and can take a sharp turn to into nostalgic fondness for mathematics, because why not. Politically charged and furious, fast as hell and gorgeous to boot. They are just off to record their first full LP soon, so look out for it on release.
