First gig of 2024 and it was really cool to see a whole bunch of folk out for this great musical event. Savage Mansion launched their new album "The Shakes" and we got a whole heap of lovely tunes to soothe our ears. The red lighting makes for some dreary edits, but I got some belters anyway :) I'm writing this a few weeks on cause life is fast, so excuse the vague summaries of the bands, I'm going on feeling not memory ^_^
Martha Ffion kicked the night off with some lovely little emotive pop tunes, that just goes so well with the cosy atmosphere in The Cellar. Love seeing touring bands all working together to play great sets for the crowds as the SM chaps joined for the live sets.

Min may have lost their Diesel, but they are still revved up and punting out tune after tune after tune with a mish mash of frantic yet controlled mindie rock. Never a gig to miss when they are playing in toon, they always manage to get the best bands around them too!

Savage Mansion were new to me, after hefty recommendations from the chaps in Holy Snakes I knew I had to get down for it. The whole set just had me with a big grin and I love when you can tell a band is having fun playing to the crowd like they were.
I've had the LP spinning continuously since.
