I've been really poor recently at getting gigs up on the website, when the pics are up on Instagram I end up busy then come back to this later. I'd like to get back to doing little mini reviews, but ah well. Next time.
The AceTones opened the night, really cool to see young bands in Aberdeen come out of the gate with good tunes and keep on growing their style. They made the brave move of playing a tune they just finished an hour or so before at their practise, and it was a nice progression of their style.

The Planet Hour were the perfect support for The Chosen Lonely, really groovy, rocky, folky tunes that shift effortlessly through from style to style, sung in really expressively be it an uplifting or reflective tune.

The Chosen Lonely came to Aberdeen to kick off their mini Scotland tour, hailing from the Highlands and they got a really nice welcome. I hadn't heard them before, I need to increase the range of my radar outside of my local area a bit more, but it's tough when there is a lot going on here right now too.
I always like seeing bands that progress from solo projects to full bands, they had a really cool dynamic and the whole set was really tight. Look forward to catching them again if they are in town.
